It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We have had incredible amounts of rain and wind this past few days. Flood warnings, power outages...very little snow compared to the amount of precipitation.

Depressing!

Didn't seem to bother this one, though.
I've lived in Tahoe for over 20 years and have only been to the library a few times. Okay twice.

Kenzo and I have been three times in the past week now!

Storytime last Thursday with Willy (in the beanie).
Saturday night was Santa night in "downtown" Tahoma!

We braved the rain and headed out to visit with friends and meet Santa.
Waiting in line to see the big man.

Luckily, we are still in the first round of kids. Next year will be a different story!
Kenzo hopped right up onto Santa's lap and asked for "a ball." How sweet.

Host for the evening, Ed Miller, is just behind Kenzo. He was the officiant at our wedding, a mere 15 years ago!

Did I mention Santa arrived on a fire truck? Extra super awesome bonus!
Santa gave each little person a little gift. This year was a mini Santa.

"Same same!"

Kenzo's latest is finding two of the same thing (hence, above exclamation) - he's pretty good!
Sunday. More rain.

Kenzo and I tackled our first holiday project: a gingerbread house!
So proud of his creation!

The Hyams family came over and we all went out in the woods to hunt down the perfect Christmas tree...legally, of course, with permits and all!

Yes, there is "snow" on the ground, but trust me, it was very, very wet.
Milton and Eric chopping down the Matises tree.
Kenzo lending a hand with his mad sawing skills!

I swear, it did not look this big out in the forest!

Oh well - when you have a 14 foot ceiling, why not go for a 12 foot tree?!
