Thankful for so much

The ability to remember or recall little details is slipping. I'm constantly reminded of this because Kenzo is SO GOOD at remembering EVERYTHING! He will bring up things that happened days, weeks, or months ago. Normal? Perhaps, but I like to think it's pretty extraordinary.

"Be careful, Mommy." I hear from the back of the car as we're driving.

"Where are you, mommy?" from Kenzo's room every morning.

"You okay, mommy?" when I bump into something.

Hmm, sounds like Kenzo is learning to be a very compassionate person, or maybe that's all I choose to remember.

We had a very quiet and mellow Thanksgiving day. We spent time at the park, running around with Kenzo's friend Chase!

Thanksgiving dinner at home, just the three of us.

Kenzo loved sneaking bites of turkey as Eric was carving it.
"Cheers!"

Yes, that's rice instead of mashed potatoes.
Licking the beaters...
Someone was really excited about pumpkin pie...
Going to town!

Met up with Nick, Kari & Laila at Squaw!
Kenzo really wanted to try the "jumpoline," so of course, we stood in line!

Loved it!

Now the tricky part is to NOT do the jumpoline every time we go to Squaw!
Day two at Squaw Valley. Chillin' by the fire pits.

No jumpoline, but we did take a ride on the Funitel!
Kenzo's 3rd season's pass.
Day three at Squaw Valley.

Watching the tram coming down the cable.
"Here it comes!"
Walk to the tram.
Load the tram.
Unload the tram.
Unpack the bag.
Dress the kid.
Walk outside.
Put the kid on skis.

It's good I stayed behind to take photos and play pit crew - phew!
Eric and Kenzo took five laps on two different chairlifts - awesome!
Our little shredder!

We met up with a couple of friends...

Chase and his parents, Kenny & Lisa...
And Steve, Janet & Willy joined the posse.

We all had dinner that evening at Kenny & Lisa's house - what a great way to cap off the boys' first weekend of skiing together!
Our little skier dude having a post-ski snack break.
