Rolling into July

Lots of friends in town this week - what fun!

Axel, Tim & Michelle all here from Alamo to escape the heat...

...Makenna, with her brother, Ryder, and parents, Sean & Kristy in from Seattle.

Kenzo LOVED riding bikes with these two experienced cyclists...the kids were ripping around and Makenna had just figured out her pedal bike a couple of days earlier!

                                                              Ripping riders!

Lots of yummy eats with our friends!
Noah came over for the boys' first sleepover!

We had lots planned for the boys to ensure a good experience for everyone.

Riding bikes into Squaw Valley...just moments ahead of the rain.

The rain lasted for just a short bit, and then we hit the ground running.

There was a cool car show going on in the Village, which the boys loved!

"I love this one!"
"No wait, I love this one!"

We went to the Dietz's annual 4th of July party - so many old friends, new kids and good laughs. No pics though, as I didn't have any pockets on my dress!

The boys spent the entirety of the party running around, playing baseball & jumping in the trampoline. We skipped the fireworks as we had a late enough evening as it was.

We were trying to ensure a good night's sleep for this inaugural evening....

...and it worked! They crashed out and slept until 8:30am!

The next morning we hit up the Meeks Bay Fire Annual Pancake breakfast!

Smokey!

Chowing down like real fire fighters!
Climbing all over the trucks.
Back to Meeks later in the day.
We went in!

Dinner on the beach...no shirts required!
And dessert!

A new take on s'mores...

Peanut butter lined sugar cones, filled with marshmallows & chocolate chips, wrapped in foil and laid on the coals.

Heaven!

And slightly cleaner prep than the traditional s'mores.

But the same amount of clean up!
Messy!

We were the last ones on the beach after a very busy and crowded holiday weekend.

Hosing down the beasts.
The boys checking out their ladybug find.

There were fights, tears, belly laughs, and frustrations all weekend, but I hope they remember the fun stuff.

 Oh, what a life....!
