Good thing there are 31 days in August - we needed and used every one of them for all our visitors and fun!
In no particular order....
Grenside family in from London!
Max.
Monkey see, monkey do.
A little shade on the hot beach.
Kenzo and Lola, hand in hand.
Dinner at the Grenside/Morris home.
"Swimming" at the pool. The lifejacket gave Kenzo all kinds of self confidence. Perhaps too much?
Pretty much the same photo from this time last year!
Lola and Nick.
Yes, Lola was again jumping off the diving board!
Warming up after their swim.
We celebrated Jen's birthday, complete with a cake that was kid approved!
Met up with Kacie, Nick & their adorable Quinn.
Scarlet and Quinn born just two months apart.
The iPad is a great babysitter...
Taking the kids for their first hike up to Eagle Rock.
Phew! We made it!
Snack break time!
This was one of the last clear days on the lake.
The American and Rim fires brought a lot of smoke up to Tahoe, and we have had our windows closed for almost three weeks now.
Nick kept the kids occupied so they didn't notice how long the hike was!
A dip into Meeks Bay.
Note the smokey haze on the east shore...
Nick and his girls.
A little putting practice at Dollar Point.
We took the kids to mini golf earlier in the week - hot, but fun!
Lola was more into decorating with the flags than actually putting.
A little pre-birthday celebration on the Grenside's last day in Tahoe.
Silly Lola!!
It was an amazing three weeks with the Grenside family. We'll have to visit them in London soon!
After leaving his jobs and apartment in the Bay Area, Takemi came up to chill in Tahoe for a few days before his move to Portland!
Breakfast at Firesign - note the dense smoke and the fire truck parked in front of the cafe. We actually sat right next to the fire fighters, which had Kenzo on his best behavior!
Water line work in our neighborhood.
The guys are so nice and friendly and even let Kenzo "drive" the excavator!
A free score from the Grenside/Morris neighbors!
Just needs a little TLC and some extra bolts and we're good to go - sweet!!
