A birthday without cake...

45 years old. Oh well, it was bound to happen.

The day was very mellow and uneventful except for my last physical therapy session - I graduated!!


We hit up Meeks Bay late in the day for some beautiful afternoon rays.

The Weekend

A Meeks Bay afternoon, finally! 

Can't wait to spend the summer here.

Dinner here with Jen, Derek & Kjell, Paul & Yasmin...

Birthday cake for Paul's 36th...plus 15, minus 3. 

Anyway, too much math involved for someone who looks as good as he does!!

Father's Day

Summer = lake time!

We spent a great afternoon at Hilary's place on the lake with friends & lots of dogs.

Kenzo had his first fishing experience off the pier.

The next day, Father's Day, we had a picnic with friends at Common's Beach.

 

And the new week started with a stop at our favorite place...Kenzo calls it the "Muffin House."

Yes, a haircut is desperately needed.

 

Visit to the Bay

We made a trip to visit Uncle Takemi last week - what fun!

Pier 39 carousel ride - LOVED IT!

Lights, sirens & horn all ON for Kenzo's sake...they weren't rushing off to anything on fire. 

Station #8 truck pulled in right behind our parking spot. How did he know Kenzo was waiting for him?!

Adios Abuelos!

Kenzo and I made a quick trip to the Bay Area to say "hola" and "adios" to my parents as they left for their trip to Spain! It was a fun filled two days with them & Uncle Takemi. Kenzo loved the sights and sounds of city life - we need to get our little country mouse out of the mountains more often...

We met up with Gayle, Morgan & Auntie Tami for a delicious and over abundant Japanese dinner! Kenzo ate amaebi heads, tobiko & tako, to name a few.

Yes, worth the drive from Richmond, AND the drive from Tahoe!

 
One last stop at Tokyo Fish Market to load up on stuff we just can't get in Tahoe.
