We had a great afternoon at Meeks Bay with our Truckee friends!
Calvin and Kenzo enjoying a LOT of watermelon.
Eric and Tom.
Most everyone opting for some shade on this hot day!
Calvin and Travis provided some sweet dance moves for our entertainment!
It was Janet's birthday, so we had cupcakes to celebrate!
Note Kenzo's attention to the out of frame cupcakes with candles!
All the guys: Tom, Dave, Eric, Adam & Jeff.
No, none of them offered to take a photo of all the girls.
Happy Father's Day!!
Pretty sweet dad & son shot at our favorite spot around the lake!

Just another weekend
Ah, another weekend to do weekend things!
Kenzo loves his hard hat from Eytan & Van...it goes great with daddy's earplugs. He even says something to the effect of going to "work" when he grab the hat!
Face mess compliments of the strawberries at the Tahoe City Farmer's Market.
Tahoe Vista beach stop.
You can still make out the snow covered peaks of the west and south shore areas....
Someone was enjoying a popsicle while "helping" daddy around the yard.
Our neighbors outgrew their slide and brought it over for Kenzo - perfect! Let the plastic toy takeover begin.
So...I wanted a bookshelf-slash-toy-storage-cubby for Kenzo's room.
The great thing about being married to a builder is that he can build things. The bad part is that he can build things instead of just ordering them on-line.
Needless to say, we built the above mentioned piece of furniture.
Of course, ALL the tools had to be broken out and used! (Out of frame: air compressor, nail gun, and chop saw)
Funny how Eric disappeared when it had to be primed and painted...
Stay tuned for the finished product. Yeah, I know you're all on pins and needles for our furthest-from-Eames creation!

Weekend of no Weddings
With only a handful of floral events this summer, I could get used to this wedding-free weekend schedule!
Kenzo and daddy planted and watered a bunch of aspen trees around the yard...
SO easily entertained!
Washing the car...
My little detailer!
And then down to Meeks Bay for a little beach action. The weather was perfect and no crowds...yet.
Don't worry, there is a LOT of sunscreen on that little white body.
Gorgeous afternoon!
Finishing off in the shade.
We saw lots of geese, two with their baby goslings. Kenzo kept saying "cute!"
And then, miracle of miracles....we went out to dinner sans baby! A birthday celebration for Chris at the River Ranch with Dave, Cathy, Chris, Danielle, Brad, Paul, Monica, and Monica - super fun and a great group of friends!
And it's snowing today. Welcome to June.

Gymastics time
Here's a little clip from Kiyomi's birthday party. Kenzo really liked running around with all the other kiddies!

Mother's Day Weekend 2012
Picked up Kenzo from day care on Friday and got this adorable card - thanks to Camilla for my first hand made Mother's Day card!
Today in Tahoe was gorgeous. We spent a lot of time outside, enjoying the peace and quiet of the season.
Kenzo and his new shades!
Afternoon walk down to Chamber's Landing.
Someone was having a great time in the late afternoon sun!
Yesterday, we went to the HOT valley! We did some errands in Sacramento before heading to Davis for Kiyomi's 2nd birthday party.
Kenzo had so much fun, climbing all over the gym toys!
Kiyomi is so coordinated, swinging on the bars, walking on the balance beam, and jumping on the trampoline!
Jack and Kenzo chillin' in the hot room!
Cutie pie Jack having a mini cone cupcake - what a perfect sized treat!
Kenzo really liked it.
Little miss Kiyomi and her Elmo candle!
After the party, we all went to Auntie Yuki & Uncle Alan's for a dip in the pool. Aaaaahhhh!!
Kiyomi, Jack & Kenzo all had matching swim diapers on - too cute!
It was great to see everyone and to have Kenzo play with his awesome cousins again!

Cinco de Mayo
We have had a rough week, trying to get re-adjusted to life in Tahoe. Kenzo has made the official transition to "toddler" now, wanting and needing more exercise, stimulation, and action! Sleep is better now that we've been home for over a week, but he is down to just one nap (I know, cry me a river) in the afternoon. So to fill our time...
End of season BBQ party in the Alpine Meadows parking lot! Aloha style, compliments of Monica & Chris!
Peyton was excited to see her buddy, Kenzo.
Kenzo and the O.G. Mo!
A cool, but beautiful day at Common's Beach.
20 months old and full of energy! We need to find the Fountain of Youth for mommy & daddy soon...
We are so lucky to live on a cul-de-sac....no traffic!
Playtime at Rideout Community Center.
Enjoying the white sand beaches in Rubicon.
Common's Beach again. Kenzo can do the baby slide by himself now, but he's too quick to catch on camera!
Fired up!!
Kenzo keeps saying "Abba, Abba" which means "Eva." I bet he's wondering where she went! We'll see you soon, girlfriend!
