Ten Months Old!

Ten months old today! 19 1/2 pounds and 27" long...

Waving, clapping, playing peek-a-boo, quasi-crawling, and making a big assortment of funny sounds! Party boy Kenzo is in for a big weekend - stay tuned!

It is getting hot here! We took Oscar for a quick swim yesterday afternoon and he would have stayed longer but the poor old guy was shivering after just two fetches of the ball!












Then we popped over to Squaw Valley for a free concert last night. "Stung" a Police tribute band kicked off the summer series. A nice, mellow hour of entertainment for us!











Got a little chilly when the sun dipped behind the mountains!

On the Move!

Kenzo just started "crawling!" It looks a bit like rowing, as he will demonstrate:

"Then I start pulling my body forward....no thanks, I don't need to use my legs!"

Kenzo is so pleased with himself.....we are too!

Happy Birthday to Me

I had a nice lunch with great friends at Sunnyside today! Fran, Monica, El & Kelly joined me and Kenzo as he made his first appearance on the deck. Note Aloha wear in the spirit of the day!

So nice to have such wonderful friends and to have received so many birthday wishes via phone, voicemail, text, Facebook, email & even in person ;) I am a lucky girl.

Family Time

We made a quick trip to Davis on Sunday to visit with family: Mom & Dad Tsuruta were in California for a party, so it was a great excuse to get together with everyone!

Kenzo made his first dip in a pool and....














....Loved it!! Kenzo had a GREAT time in the pool - he's a natural little fish, just like his daddy!

West Shore Best Shore

We think the "West Shore Best Shore" motto is so true! We convinced some Truckee friends out this past week to test out that theory :)

Father's Day BBQ dinner here with the Neves, Mourning, Hagglof & Bell families. Here's a photo of the kiddies by our raging waterfall (bigger and definitely more dangerous than originally planned or envisioned): Kenzo, Travis, Kjell, Peyton & Calvin. Nobody fell in...this time.












Kenzo and I went for a nice hike through Sugar Pine Point State Park in Tahoma the other morning. So peaceful and quiet! No bear sightings this day :(















Then the next day we hit up Meeks Bay Resort ....so beautiful and clear it looks like the Caribbean only much, much, much colder!

SUN day

June 12th today...can I safely say that summer is finally here? We ventured to the beach & park, just soaking in the sunshine and the calm Sunday afternoon. (Insert big sigh of contentment!)

Nine Months Old!

Nine months old today! 18 1/2 pounds of happy baby :)

No crawling yet, but he's been exploring around in a walker just given to us from friends. Kenzo thinks it's hilarious to follow the wagging tail around the house, but Oscar is not too happy about this new development.

Kenzo is babbling like crazy, clapping his hands together, and being fully entertained by everything around him. He loves watching little kids too, and will soon enough be in the mix with everyone else!

A few "Bwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" too for good measure. Don't know what he's saying, but he's got a lot to say!
