Who Said it's Spring?!

Today is clear....for now. We have been the lucky recipients of so much snow this season - the problem is where to put it all? The snowbank in front of our house is at least 15 feet tall.















We had a nice walk outside today. Good to get some fresh air before the next snowstorm hits!

Aussie Party Train!

Friends Vanessa and Eytan rolled in last week from Sydney for their annual trip to Tahoe! It was a week full of skiing, feasting and just chillin' with friends. Kenzo loved all the activity and attention.

Then we went to San Francisco with Van & Eytan on their way out of the country. Eating & shopping were on order! Here's a shot of the boys relaxing in the hotel room before dinner!










Uncle Takemi came to the city to have dinner with his favorite nephew...













On the way back to Tahoe we stopped in Davis for dinner at Uncle Alan & Auntie Yuki's place...and to see everyone else too! Thanks to Seiko, Leon, Parker, Jack, Noriko, Ty, Kenji, Mieko, Nick & Kiyomi for coming over to meet the dude! Kenzo meeting cousin Kiyomi (10 months old) ...he was pretty excited!








We drove through the storm and just in the nick of time as I-80 was closed for most of the day today. This is our back deck this morning... There is nowhere to move the snow anymore!!

We had a fabulous week with everyone, but it's pretty nice to be back in our quiet little corner of Tahoe :)

We had to say "goodbye" to the Grenside family yesterday as they left for home in London. We drowned our sorrows in rice cereal...

Kenzo has been very interested in what we're putting in our
mouths lately, so it's time he had a taste!

He did great with the cereal and was opening his mouth like a baby bird, ready for the next spoonful.

The buddies gathered for one last photo shoot before departure. Kenzo is going to miss Max & Lola so much. It was such a special time to have the three kiddies together this winter.

It looks like Kenzo is fussy, but I think he didn't want to say good-bye. Max, on the other hand, looks fired up for his long journey home!

Six Months Old!

Six months old....a half of a year...

Kenzo is happy and healthy and keeping us laughing at his daily antics. We are loving this time and trying to cherish each moment of each stage.

Thanks to the Monahan and Mourning families for keeping Kenzo's wardrobe adjusted for his growing body!






This has been a very stormy month for us, and we've been loving all the snow. The house is buried and who knows when we will ever see our backyard again!















Not crawling yet, which is kind of nice!

Weekend Outing

Up the Funitel at Squaw today with the Grenside family for the babies' first ride up the mountain.

It was gorgeous, and we needed to get out before the big storm that is scheduled to roll in tomorrow! Bring it!!

The week started with a BBQ dinner at the Bell's. Kenzo was so happy to see Dave...and immediately reached to grab his nose! Ah uncle Dave, you have the magic touch with the little munchkins :)









Then we partied down at the Dietz's for the Super Bowl. Kenzo first saw Chaney when he was just 4 days old, but he must have remembered her because he was laughing and smiling just for her!

Off next to the Grenside's for Nick's birthday! A yummy chicken tagine and couscous dinner made by Jen, d'lish-ous appetizers from Derek, and a birthday cake with a LOT of candles.










And finally dinner at our house tonight with the Mills family in from San Diego. Great to visit with Mandy, Drew & Justin...thanks for making the trek over here to meet the little dude!

We love being on the party tour and bringing Kenzo along to be with all of our awesome friends!

Five Months Old!

Five months old!

He's a 14 pound, 5+ ounce package of fun! Kenzo has been exploring his voice with high-pitched squeals and pterodactyl squacks of delight. Sounds annoying, but it's really hilarious.

Winter is here, but we haven't had any significant snowfall in over a month. It's been sunny and beautiful, sad for skiing, but great for walks in the stroller with the kid.
