Weekend Outing

Up the Funitel at Squaw today with the Grenside family for the babies' first ride up the mountain.

It was gorgeous, and we needed to get out before the big storm that is scheduled to roll in tomorrow! Bring it!!

A little snack and socializing at the ARC...

Photo session on the deck with Kenzo and his cool shades...

I swear, we know how lucky we are to have such a happy baby! Tram tower in the background...

Then a quick trip to Alpine...

A visit with Melanie at Treats. Kenzo thought he was in heaven with Melanie...or maybe it was just the sugar talking.

Kenzo's social schedule

The week started with a BBQ dinner at the Bell's. Kenzo was so happy to see Dave...and immediately reached to grab his nose! Ah uncle Dave, you have the magic touch with the little munchkins :)

Then we partied down at the Dietz's for the Super Bowl. Kenzo first saw Chaney when he was just 4 days old, but he must have remembered her because he was laughing and smiling just for her!

Mom getting some time with her girlfriends, El and Fran, at a demo event at Alpine Meadows.

Off next to the Grenside's for Nick's birthday! A yummy chicken tagine and couscous dinner made by Jen, d'lish-ous appetizers from Derek, and a birthday cake with a LOT of candles.

And finally dinner at our house tonight with the Mills family in from San Diego. Great to visit with Mandy, Drew & Justin...thanks for making the trek over here to meet the little dude!

We love being on the party tour and bringing Kenzo along to be with all of our awesome friends!

Five Months Old!

Five months old!

He's a 14 pound, 5+ ounce package of fun! Kenzo has been exploring his voice with high-pitched squeals and pterodactyl squacks of delight. Sounds annoying, but it's really hilarious.

Winter is here, but we haven't had any significant snowfall in over a month. It's been sunny and beautiful, sad for skiing, but great for walks in the stroller with the kid.

Remember the movie "Three Men and a Baby?"

Dinner with Chris, Kealy, and Brad last night - thanks for coming over and meeting the dude!

Loves the saucer!

This Week's Tidbits

In a year of "firsts" for Kenzo, this one make me so proud...his first season pass!

We'll be riding the Funitel and Tram soon :)

Last week, friends El and Rob came over for dinner. Kenzo loved laughing with (or at?) Rob!

New exercise saucer thanks to Ken & Lisa! Kenzo and his buddies, Max and Lola, love it!

Man, he looks chubby in this photo...you know what they say about the camera adding pounds!

Still loving bath time! He splashes and kicks like crazy and thinks it's the funniest thing.

He's getting so big, we may have to actually bathe him in a proper tub sometime soon!

Skiing Babies!

Actually, the title should read "Riding Babies!" as the kiddie sat comfortably in their sleds as we towed them along!

It was a warm and sunny Martin Luther King Jr. holiday so we headed for the Tahoe City Cross Country Center for a few hours. What a gorgeous day and we ran into lots of friends along the trails.

A perfect introduction for Kenzo to our snow sports world in Tahoe!

Dad and Kenzo taking a break at the warming hut.

The cute and sporty Grenside family!

Four Months Old!

Four months old!

Wow, time really flies. Kenzo is cruising right along...getting stronger with each week, drooling a ton, babbling and laughing, and having a great time with everything and everyone around him. I'll get a chance to weigh him later this week, when he gets his next round of immunization shots :(

Max, Kenzo, and Lola...best buds!

Nanny Kacie has been watching the three amigos for a few weeks now. They all light up when she arrives and we are so thankful for the loving care and attention she gives them.

A surprise visit from Debbie, Steve, and Emily Gennuso last week - thanks for making time to stop over after your day at Homewood!

I see that Kenzo left his trademark drool spot on Deb's sleeve...

And another surprise visit from Rachel and Chuck Thompson! Loved seeing you guys...

Let it Snow!

We had a very snowy Christmas holiday season in Tahoe...just perfect for us! Thank you for all the generous gifts for Kenzo - he is spoiled!

One great Christmas gift we received was having friends, Nick, Jen, Max & Lola stay with us for a week. The babies had a fun time together, and we adults enjoyed beverages in the hot tub, powder skiing, and big meals togeth
er.

Kenzo...almost 4 months.
