We're almost at the end....

Dinner at Sunnyside!

I mean, I'm glad the nieces love my cooking, but I'm not running a B&B here!

This was "before" as we got swarmed by bees and had to finish dinner inside!
Gross.
We made it out on the lake!

It looks like torture for Maya and Naomi. Oh, poor children...

Naomi getting instructions from Dan...

And she's up!

Kenzo went next. Captain Mommy at the wheel...
And he's up!

Maya got up too, but I was too busy driving the boat to take a picture.

They almost loved jumping off the boat more than getting dragged behind it!

All smiles...now!

Kenzo holding baby Olivia - so cute!!
Maya and Kenzo putting on a little hula show.

Then we wrapped the week with Melanie and Neil's annual summer party - the best party of the summer!

Neil giving the piƱata run down to the kids.

Go Kenzo!
Apparently, orange and blue are "in!"

Back to Tahoe Summer Fun

Back from NY and back into the swing of Tahoe...haha, get it?

Kenzo's solution to juicy corn-on-the-cob!

Beautiful evening for a BBQ on the beach with the Hyams family!

A little soccer practice.
Mary and Milt Sr. joined us too!
Gorgeous evening - gorgeous friends!
Even WE look decent with this alpenglow lighting!

Kenzo, Mason & Keelan...buds!
Came home from the beach and found some Portland people in our house!

Dropping Kenzo off for his first day of soccer camp.
Back to the beach after soccer with our favorite buddy, Cody.

Me and Maya - she loved this beach!
Special request dinner - katsu curry!

I'm glad my nieces love my cooking!
More soccer action!

Kenzo said he didn't like camp because he got "too sweaty!"

Dinner out while Eric and Henry played golf.

And of course it wouldn't be summer without a dose of ice cream!

New York Visit

This is the face of the 5 year old waiting to catch a red-eye flight to NYC.

Thankfully, he fell asleep 5 minutes before boarding.
Headed straight to Rockaway Beach - same routine as last year's visit!

The ocean felt great - perfect temperature on this gorgeous day!

We really could have stayed out all day...
Breakfast at Monticello Bagel Bakery - open since 1969!

Then we were off to see "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at the same theater we saw "Beauty and the Beast" two years ago.

The production was fantastic and the cast mingled in the garden afterwards to meet their fans.

Trying to keep Kenzo on CA time, so had to stop here to prolong the night!

The next day we went to Aunt Patty's home - Kenzo was so excited to see the neighbor boys for some motorized fun!
Go cart - wahoo!

Nice family portrait, just missing Grandma Lynn.

Kenzo and his carrot buddies!

Yo-Yo...that's her new name given by Kenzo.

Max.

These two ate a LOT of carrots during our very short stay.

And, just like last year, we made a fast stop at Coney Island on our way out of town.

Yummy Nathan's Hot Dogs!
This ride is not recommended if you have just eaten a Nathan's Hot Dog.

And especially not when it was as humid as this day.

I am so thankful I didn't throw up.

I had the bumpy airplane ride home to have my second chance at that!
