We had "Camp Mommy" at the end of July!
Bike ride along the Truckee River...
Hike in Paige Meadows...
Break time in the shade!
Beautiful, but HOT.
Then a little dirt riding! Super proud of this guy!
Looking so sporty!
These amazing trails are in the backyard of Rideout School, where Kenzo will go for 1st grade as Tahoe Lake School gets remodeled!
Someone worked hard for this yummy lunch!
Afternoons turned to evenings at Meeks Bay - it was so hot and we were in the lake until 6:30pm!
Velcro ball action!
A super fun birthday party for Paul at the Alpine Springs Pond!
And finally, after a few failed attempts, we present Boba Fett's Slave 1!

July Visitors
A quick trip to South Shore to have brunch with Mandy, Justin & Grace - great to catch up with them!
The Valenzona family came up for a visit - it's only been two years since seeing them last!
View from Eagle Rock!
Bailey, Christie, Guy & Avery
Cheers!!
Guy's friend owns Gus' BBQ in Incline, so off we went!
Delicious dinner and happy kids...who needs more?
Oh yes, it was a 2 ice cream day this day. Who needs more?
Morning craft time.
5 ("and 3/4!"), 7 and 4 years old.
Off to Squaw for a picnic lunch and playing around.
Slackline time.
Despite the expressions on Bailey and Avery's faces, I think they were having a good time?!
Straight from Squaw to Alpine Springs Pond for Ken's 50th birthday party.
The boys had a great time together running around in the beautiful afternoon sunshine.
Ice cream after swim lessons.
Of course.
Meeks Bay with Noah and Kenzo.
I was dozing off as the boys were digging in the sand...maybe ice cream withdrawl?

July in Oregon....Oregon in July
A girls' night out for yummy Peruvian food!
Julie and me.
Selfie queens: Jan, Noel & Kara.
In true hipster fashion, we waited in a long line for ice cream at Salt & Straw one evening.
Kenzo had Stumptown Coffee & Burnside Bourbon....at 10:00 pm.
The "Parent of the Year" award goes to....?!
For Kara's birthday, we loaded up and headed to the ocean!
The town of Cannon Beach is super cute and quaint, filled with tourist shops and restaurants.
Hey, kind of like where we are from!
Haystack Rock.
Such a nice, flat, long beach!
Bombed by Maya!!
This is what spending the day with an iPhone obsessed tween is like.
The skies cleared for a beautiful late afternoon beach session.
This photo was taken at 5:17pm. It was crazy how high the sun was this time of year!
Exploring the tide pools.
Oh the water? It was
F R E E Z I N G!
Lots of good digging work put in by this one.
And this one.
Dinner on the deck at Mo's!
Uh oh, dark clouds rolling in behind us!
7:00 pm and still enjoying the sunshine!
The kids and their Mo's souvenir t-shirts and toy.
Seriously?!
Kara and I enjoyed massages while the kids played at Club Sport - what an awesome place!
Maya was so good about hanging out with Kenzo - she has such patience for her little shadow.
Finally got his Oregon hat!
And we finally got to catch up with the Kalish family at their annual neighborhood block party!
Of course Sumiko put out a huge spread of deliciousness!
Kenzo and Nikko - cousin love!!
Tables and food out in the street - what a perk of having neighbors as friends!
Happy 4th of July!
Photo taken at 9:30pm - wow!
Super good ramen at a new restaurant - so happy to have one last good meal before our flight back home.
Oregon pride!
