Rewind, please

Rewinding to October so I can remember everything!

New boots, "just like mommy's!"
A great gathering of friends to celebrate Kristi's 50th
Beautiful evening at the Truckee River Winery.

Eric and Chris.

Back to Oakland.

I went to a beautiful memorial service for Bob Blackburn at the Oakland Zoo.

So many memories of this man, who was like a second dad to me through my teen years.

Stayed over at Takemi's house and had breakfast together the next day.

Typical, not typical, afternoon at home.

Me in the kitchen, Kenzo "reading."

Tahoe Lake Elementary walk-a-thon!

Luckily the school bumped up the day to take advantage of a clear weather window!
Mrs. Thomas' class - these kids did so many laps!

Mary and Levi stayed with us for two days, on their way back to Colorado.

So awesome spending time with another old, dear friend...and a good excuse for wine and Its-Its! Amazing how we can pick up right from where we left off years ago.
Finally, we got organized for one of Kenzo's favorites!

Mummies were the popular "theme" this year.

T-shirt weather in Reno....
Wheels up!

Kenzo was not scared at all, just hamming it up...had no idea where we were going, but was just happy to be on vacation.

As if this kid needs a vacation from his real life!

Greeted with a big glass of wine upon check in?

And that's why I love staying here, the same hotel in which we stayed last year.
Sushi dinner.

Not a cheap date.

Oh yeah!!

Yep, a re-do of last year's trip because it was just so darn

A W E S O M E !
Ninjagoland was open this past spring!

Sensei Wu!

Again, with the mummy theme in mind...

Ice cream bigger than your head
Mummies...Egypt...Ancient ruins...we love it all!

Sushi night #2.

Four nights in San Diego, four nights of sushi.

Eric and Kenzo down un-daar!

My little ham!
Ha ha ha!

Halloween witch!

We got in the spirit for Brick-or-Treat night with an amazing face painting job!

My little mummy!
Leaving sunny, warm San Diego...

...arriving in dark, cold Tahoe!

Coming home from vacation could only be helped out with rolling right into our favorite holiday!

Halloweens year one through five...

Zombie Noah and Mummy Kenzo at the school parade!

Makeup and costume by mommy.

Idea and attitude by Kenzo!
Love our group of friends and our Tahoe City trick-or-treating tradition!

Whirlwind

Last month was a whirlwind with the start of school, birthday celebrations, soccer & life in general.

Go Tahoe Lightening!
A quick birthday celebration for Eric - poor guy gets lost in the mix the start of school & Kenzo's birthday!
Birthday presents from Australia!
Afterschool snack at the Tahoe House. We are NOT making a daily habit out of this one...

I think he's got eyeliner on from a make up app on my phone....but maybe not?

Another week, another birthday party! Okay, this was Friday...

Back to the Adventure Course to celebrate Oskar's 6th!
Colton, Kenzo, and Ryder - happy to be in the ropes again!
Saturday...Gabriel's 6th birthday party!
Lego MOC (my own creation) races down the driveway!

Sunday...Robby's 6th birthday party!
Go Tahoe Lightening!

A weekend away with Sam to celebrate our 30th class reunion!
Me with alumnus and ex-NBA star, Gary Payton.

Yes, I was completely star struck!

Great to reconnect with Sam and other friends from back in the day!

These folks make me felt young again, although partying for two days made me quickly remember that I'm not!!
