June-uary

June-uary describes this month - it feels like summer!

No new snow in...can't even keep track of the time. Very depressing.

On the up side of that, Kenzo and Eric have been hard at work with house chores.

Kenzo on the nail gun...

...and voila! Our new storage area in the mud room!

And a new headboard for our room!

We were all set for the big game - GO DUCKS!

Too bad they lost.

The crud finally got to us.

Poor guy. He looked worse than it was.
Beautiful, sunny day at Alpine Meadows - YUCK.

Just because it's warm doesn't mean we skip out on a hot chocolate break.

I mean, we're not those kinds of parents!
Strider Glider class moved to the Mt. Rose meadow for more snow since the x-country center in town is closed.

The conditions were not ideal, but the kids did great on the sun-pocked snow.

Paisley came over for a play date & we made cookies!

Well, I made cookies and the kids made a mess.
Fun afternoon together, and nice to mix it up with some girly energy!

These two have been in daycare and pre-school together for years now - hope their friendship stands the test of time.

And a little clip from last week's Shooting Star - a little course set up for the kiddies!

Versatility

Walking through the Village on our way to day one of Shooting Stars!

Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Kenzo and his "team" will be out there shredding!

"I can carry my own skis!"....yeah, for about 10 steps.
Kenzo, Noah, and Chase ready for action!
Proud mom. Nervous as all hell.

Eat lunch, chill at home for a bit, then back out to...

Tahoe XC! Strider Gliders is a once-a-week program for cross country kids.

See? Versatility.

The ski area is actually closed to paying guests, but there is just enough snow for the kids to learn some introductory skills.

Kenzo had a great first day at both skiing disciplines!

Rewarded for our long day with a gorgeous alpenglow over the lake!

2015

This was a very busy Christmas holiday for us....I worked at Squaw 8 days straight while Kenzo & Eric entertained themselves.

Kenzo getting fitted for his cross country equipment! He's doing "Strider Gliders," a once-a-week x-country program for local kids!

Torchlight parade at Squaw on New Year's Eve!
Fireworks too!

Kenzo in the half pipe!

The week was incredibly cold - minus 17 with the winds one morning. Kinda brutal.

This was NOT that day. We're not that crazy.
With my car still in the shop, I've been taking the bus to work.

Can't complain that much with beautiful mornings like this...

....and this...
The Kremer family came up for a couple of days!

Kenzo, Haku & Leia building a snow wall in the front yard.

Kenzo, Haku, Leia, and Teito!

The kids played together great...too bad we don't live closer like we used to.

Off to Jade's 4th birthday party at a fun gym in Reno!

Willy and Kenzo enjoying the trampoline.

BOOIIING!

All my photos were blurry of the fast action.

Great fun with friends from TCNS.

Back to school today - phew!

We need to get back to reality: no more candy, no more late nights out, no more parties...boring, but needed!
