The family descended upon Lake Tahoe last week! Mom & dad from Portland, Takemi & Rocko from Richmond, and Kara, Henry, Naomi & Maya from Portland. A full house!
We checked out the 1960 Olympic Museum after dinner one evening - great stuff and lots of memories for dad!
Cool old skis!
Popsicle time with cousins!
Yummy chicken enchilada dinner outside.
Naomi (9 years old) kept looking for bears and did a fabulous job of cleaning up after dinner so as not to leave any food for any bears!
Dad & mom...
Maya - 7 years old.
Takemi, Eric & Henry at Meeks Bay.
So many photos, and not one with everyone looking at the camera!
Nice BBQ dinner at Meeks Bay.
Pretty stoked on his marshmallow!
Very stoked.
Mom & dad moved out of the Matises B&B and to a condo in Squaw. A great excuse to go over, swim in their pool, and have a turn on the "jumpoline!"
Super fun & super cute!
We found a great loader on the side of the road with a "FREE" sign on it....luckily we know the perfect little person for this great find!!
Mom & dad's friends: Joanne & Bob, Irene & Ray, and (they left early) Sybil & Jerry came up to visit and have lunch together!
We had an early celebration for their 50th anniversary with a DELICIOUS seafood paella dinner - holy yum!
Mom and dad drove back down the hill, and stopped for lunch at D'Lish with Ray & Irene, before flying out from Sacramento.
The Alvarez family stopped by D'Lish too on their way to the Bay Area!
It was a fun week and we are POOPED! Back to our quiet lives....for now!

4th of July week(end)
The mother of all tourist weeks hit us hard. Lots of people, lots of traffic, and lots of heat! We did get to visit with friends Michelle, Tim & baby Axel, as well as go to the Dietz's annual 4th of July party. Unfortunately, our neighbors kept us up until 2am with their partying ways....oh summer people!
On our way to the annual pancake breakfast at the Meeks Bay firestation!
Noah and Kenzo, hand in hand.
The boys and Smokey. They wanted so badly to see him, but didn't want to get too close!
Pancakes, sausage, applesauce, milk and fire hats! We got to eat inside the fire station which was nice and cool on this hot morning.
Brad the volunteer sausage server!
We hit the beach after breakfast and the boys had a great time splashing around.
After naptime, we went back to Meeks for the afternoon session.
Besties!
Noah's family met us at the beach for a pizza dinner - we didn't leave until 8pm!!
