Happy Halloween

Our little pirate didn't want to wear his head scarf, but he still looked pretty cute! Cute, but tired...the "easiest baby ever" has had a tough week with very little naps. Molars, perhaps?

Fall in Portland

A Fall trip to visit Portland - what a beautiful time of year with all the vibrant colors everywhere!


Kenzo enjoyed the extra attention and affection from everyone!

Thanks to mom and dad for clearing out the office for Kenzo & for letting us take over the rest of the house!










 


An afternoon outing to watch Maya's soccer game. The kids were so cute running around and Maya was really going for it!

Their team name is: Go Bolts Rule The World. No joke.

 Side line action...yes, a bit chilly.

A quick visit with cousins Kaz and Nikko. What a bunch of hams!

And then, it wouldn't be Fall or Portland if we didn't go to a pumpkin patch! We went to Plumper's (Kaz & Nikko had just gone there earlier that week!) and had a fun afternoon.

I am pretty sure I was more excited than Kenzo, but he did like it and rode that little pony like a champ! Proud mom moment.

We celebrated Naomi's 8th birthday with a family dinner, complete with an ice cream cake and lots of friends!

Play date with Charlie

Kenzo and I met up with friends Daisy and Charlie (8 months old) today at the park. 

We met these two at the Baby-and-Me class in Truckee this past spring and it was great to spend some time with them again today!

Although it may be hard to tell by her expression, Charlie LOVES the swing!

Kenzo and Charlie were squawking back and forth at each other...so hilarious! 

Couldn't take any photos of it, but they also got a great kick out of going down backwards on the baby slide.

Tahoe Visitors

We spent more time with the Matises family last week in South Lake Tahoe. Here's a great photo of the guys relaxing in the village one sunny afternoon....

AND.....Sami came to visit! My dear friend from high school came for work with the North Tahoe schools and got to stay with us for a couple of nights. It was so great to visit and get caught up with each other. And of course, Kenzo loved the extra attention and affection :)

This week in Tahoe...

October 5th - SNOW! A sign of another big winter?!

Kenzo is experiencing the advantages of living on a quiet, dead end street! Next week, we'll tackle parallel parking....

Grandpa, grandma & uncle Brant Matises are in town to see Kenzo! They are staying at Harrah's in South Lake Tahoe, so Kenzo is able to try his hand at the slots.
