I had a nice lunch with great friends at Sunnyside today! Fran, Monica, El & Kelly joined me and Kenzo as he made his first appearance on the deck. Note Aloha wear in the spirit of the day!So nice to have such wonderful friends and to have received so many birthday wishes via phone, voicemail, text, Facebook, email & even in person ;) I am a lucky girl.

Nine months old today! 18 1/2 pounds of happy baby :)
No crawling yet, but he's been exploring around in a walker just given to us from friends. Kenzo thinks it's hilarious to follow the wagging tail around the house, but Oscar is not too happy about this new development.
Kenzo is babbling like crazy, clapping his hands together, and being fully entertained by everything around him. He loves watching little kids too, and will soon enough be in the mix with everyone else!
"Dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadada!"
and "Babababababababababababababababababa!"
A few "Bwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" too for good measure. Don't know what he's saying, but he's got a lot to say!
Kenzo just started "crawling!" It looks a bit like rowing, as he will demonstrate:
"First I stretch out both arms...."
"Then I start pulling my body forward....no thanks, I don't need to use my legs!"
"Caught up to my arms....yeah!"
Kenzo is so pleased with himself.....we are too!

We made a quick trip to Davis on Sunday to visit with family: Mom & Dad Tsuruta were in California for a party, so it was a great excuse to get together with everyone!
....Loved it!! Kenzo had a GREAT time in the pool - he's a natural little fish, just like his daddy!

We think the "West Shore Best Shore" motto is so true! We convinced some Truckee friends out this past week to test out that theory :)
Kenzo and I went for a nice hike through Sugar Pine Point State Park in Tahoma the other morning. So peaceful and quiet! No bear sightings this day :(
Then the next day we hit up Meeks Bay Resort ....so beautiful and clear it looks like the Caribbean only much, much, much colder!
Robyn, Mason & Keelan (and Monica...not in photo) joined us too - thanks for making the trek from Truckee!

June 12th today...can I safely say that summer is finally here? We ventured to the beach & park, just soaking in the sunshine and the calm Sunday afternoon. (Insert big sigh of contentment!)
